ACS Motion Control was created with the acquisition of Technology 80 Inc. by ACS Electronics Ltd. in September 1999. ACS Electronics, and subsequently ACS Motion Control has been a public company traded on the NASDAQ (ACSEF) since September 1997.
The Company designs, develops, manufactures and markets multi-axis motion controllers and control modules (motion controllers with integrated digital drives) that provide very accurate, fast and reliable motion control. The Company's motion control products are utilized in advanced industrial applications, medical scanning and imaging systems, semi-conductor manufacturing equipment, electronic testing and inspection stations, and high-quality printing machinery. For example, our products control the movement of a patient within and through a medical scanner and the movement of a semiconductor wafer under an optical inspection microscope. Our products are software intensive, user-programmable, and store motion sequences and comprehensive application programs.
Of ACS Motion Control employees, more than one third are research and development personnel, who integrate their multi-disciplinary knowledge and decades of industry experience to meet the ever-growing motion control requirements for accuracy, speed, flexibility, and simplicity of usage.
ACS Motion Control headquarters and its primary research and development facilities are located in Israel. In addition, the Company maintains facilities in the USA and Europe. The products are marketed and sold through a worldwide network of representatives and distributors, who are well trained to help customers choose the right solution to their needs, and are backed by the Company's staff of experienced application engineers.
