SmoothPTP leverages 4th-order motion profiles to generate smoother motion for high-speed applications with significant acceleration and jerk factors. In applications with a non-collocated motion system, such as precision ballscrews and dual motor gantry stages with a single encoder, SmoothPTP utilizes snap to obtain the necessary jerk profile and improve positioning errors. SmoothPTP is available with a MotionBoost (TM) license in SPiiPlus series motion controllers.
