About The Position
Job Description
This position is part of the ACS Control team developing innovative control algorithms and technologies.
Reports to: VP Control, Support and Applications
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Research and development of innovative new control technologies for ACS products
· Custom control algorithms development for ACS customers
· Work closely with high-tech equipment manufacturers in the fields of Semiconductors, Mobile Devices and Flat Panel Displays, Life Sciences, Photonics, and more.
Requirements
· PhD in control. Experience with high precision mechatronics – an advantage
· Excellent knowledge in control theory. Specific knowledge and experience in data driven control, adaptive control, learning control, AI and machine learning will be an advantage
· Strong Programming experience (C, C++, VB or Python)
· Excellent MATLAB / Simulink knowledge
· Experience with digital signal processors and microcontrollers– an advantage
· Personal skills – very high analytical skills. good communication and interaction with colleagues & customers, independence & quick learning
· Fluent in English, both writing and speaking
· Work from our office in Karlsruhe, Germany or work from a home office (with periodic visits at our Karlsruhe office).
